Hi everyone! Amazed at how fast this last week has gone. Apparently, someone has, for the first time, defiled an art installation on the Kelly median north of Covel and there is now a $2,500 reward out for whoever chose to do so. If you have any information, be sure to call the non emergency line at the Edmond PD.

Unbelievably, 4% of Republicans showed up Tuesday to vote in their runoff for State Superintendent of Education, and voted for a candidate who wants to dismantle funding for public schools. He wants vouchers of $7,000 to give folks a choice as to attend a private school costing from $15,000 to $25,000 in tuition a year, so that further federal funding for education is funneled to these already wealthy schools. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense as to why lower to middle class Republicans would want this to happen, and I’ll just leave that topic there for a minute.

Citizen’s Bank of Edmond’s August Back to School themed Heard on Hurd sees successful attendance!

Last Saturday, it appeared that the break in the heat prompted everyone to head down to Heard on Hurd and enjoy some community togetherness, music, shopping and amazing food from local food trucks, and it was a blast to see so many I haven’t seen in awhile. My favorite thing was watching the littles so excited while the Edmond FD gave tours of the firetrucks.
