Hi everyone! Hope all of you are great, and making preparations for a fun fall week! Last weekend marked the end of the abbreviated Heard on Hurd season and what a great event it was. The music was fantastic, as was the shopping and food trucks, the unveiling of a gift to Edmond Public Schools of $30,000, and it debuted Citizen’s Bank of Edmond’s holiday lights at Hurd and Broadway and at 1st Street and Broadway. This year, this one little act of magical holiday lights brought some much needed normalcy to our little city.

It was so exciting to see Jill Castilla with 10 Citizen’s Bank of Edmond team members as she was nominated as one of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking last night through photos posted at Twitter! Jill is a change maker in the banking world and I just can’t wait to watch what she and her team accomplishes in banking and banking tech in the next few years!

A collaboration I love is between the Independent Retailers Association (ISA) and Citizen’s Bank of Edmond next door to the bank on Broadway called RISE which stands for Retail Incubator for the Shopkeeper Experience, and gives established shops wanting to test a different market or new local concepts ready to launch a chance to experience the downtown Edmond retail experience.

From now until the end of December, stop into their space and see what Out on a Limb and Norma Lane have to offer. The retail hours will be Tuesday through Saturday 11 am to 6 pm. For information on participating in RISE, visit Retail Incubator for the Shopkeeper Experience | Citizens (mycitizens.bank)
