Around Edmond: July Heard on Hurd rocked! Nick Massey plays Saturday Night at Ellis Island. EmoryAnne’s celebrates 3 years in larger showroom!
Hi everyone, hoping you are enjoying this cool down! What a crazy hot week we had. Just in time for Heard on Hurd last weekend, the heat took a bit of a break and it ended up being a perfect night out in Downtown Edmond, that saw a record number of viewers at the 3rd Annual FilmFest inside of the Citizen’s Community Lobby. Check out our photo gallery of Saturday night here:
Be sure to check out City Councilman Nick Massey playing at Ellis Island Saturday Night, more information here:
I have to say I am a big fan of local entrepenuer incubator StitchCrew’s podcasts. Great guests, great interviews and amazing insights into our local leaders, and I highly recommend listening to all of them. I had a chance to check out Episode 11 by StitchCrew featured in our monthly print Listen Up Edmond! section, featuring an interview with Kendra Horn. It is phenomenal and you can check it out at Stitchcrew.com/podcast
In My Home this month, Emory Anne Interiors is featured in celebration of Anne McCarthy’s 3rd anniversary in her new location that features a huge showroom with over 25 vignettes full of gifts for everyone, personal grooming items, children’s and baby gifts, books and toys, jewelry, anything and everything for cooking and kitchen needs as well as furniture, lamps, home accessories, in home and in store design services, gift wrap and delivery.
Anne also houses a warehouse to which every year at the end of July, she hosts one of the best sales to be found in Edmond, and that happens this weekend! Be sure to stop by her new location at 150th & Santa Fe, and wish her a happy anniversary in this location! It’s been a pleasure watching this savvy business owner grow, and help so many other female business owner’s grow along with her!
Our July issue is at the printer now and I am in production of the August issue where I will have a full write up of the amazing films shown this past weekend and a season review of this summer’s Heard on Hurd events, but until then check out the Summer issue of EdmondActive below, and be sure to head back over Thursday for some ShopEdmond News! Thanks for reading! Sherri
