Events & People: Mrs. Roper Romp raises funds and collects items for EPS and Food Pantries.

Last month, Citizen’s Bank of Edmond‘s Chief Impact Officer Jennifer Wallis coordinated a Mrs. Roper Romp through Edmond.

About 30 ladies dressed up as Mrs. Roper, a character played by Audra Lindley on the popular TV show Threes Company and romped around downtown in caftans and wigs to support local businesses and to raise money for the Student Ambassador program for Edmond Public Schools foundation.

Alicia Collins, Community Engagement Manager, was one of the participants who joined the event. Participants were asked to donate either $25 or buy $25 worth of food from their food pantry wish list to ensure kids had enough food over the holiday break.

The event was a huge success, raising over $300 in cash and bringing in around $450 in wish list items.

Let’s hear it for Mrs. Roper and the ladies of Edmond for making a difference one romp at a time!
