And, don’t forget the next fireworks display in OKC July 3rd at Scissortail Park, with a performance by the OKC Phil! This is a fun event to attend!

July 4, 2024, you’ll find the final fireworks display at Hafer Park starting at 9:30 pm! Parking is free and found in areas around the park (Park is closed for safety.)

With a very light turnout Tuesday in Edmond, 4,444 or 63% of the vote, Edmond’s Tourism department was able to convince those who voted that it was beneficial for tourism to raise the hotel lodging tax for the first time in years from 4% to 6% leaving Edmond with the most affordable lodging tax rate in the metro area.

In a truly light turn out 58.74% or 1,512 of 2,574 voters in East Edmond/Arcadia, SE Edmond and far west Edmond and NW OKC, re elected Republican incumbent Preston Stinson Tuesday June 18, by just 450 votes, over Republican challenger Steve Herburger, owner of 2 Fellas Moving Company, who received 1,062 votes.  Preston Stinson overcame pancreatic cancer in 2021, and supported his 11 year old son who received a liver transplant this year. Hoping for a healthy term for the House Representative and his family in 2024 and beyond.
