Did you know the Farmer’s Market Meets at Mitch Park on Wednesday’s? Yes!!! And tomorrow will the event in front of the Mac Center will be held from 7 am to 11 am due to extreme heat! Stop by and show the vendor’s some love!

Thursday August 3rd, Vibes will be hosting Live on the Lawn in Downtown Edmond along with Edmond Fine Arts Institute Gallery Opening!

 The fun continues on VIBES nights in Downtown Edmond with the Thursday, August 3rd event.

Join us from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm to experience creativity throughout 15 blocks of Downtown Edmond. Live on the Lawn is back for a 2nd year with the invitation for attendees to bring their sketchbooks and drawing materials to sketch art model Adrian Rosen, posing live from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Broadway and Campbell.

Visual and performing artists will set up downtown, spreading a creative vibe over the entire district, from Edwards St. down to 2nd St, then west to the Icehouse Project, and all in between. View artwork by ceramist Molding Hands, woodwork by Gregg Standridge, abstract paintings by Art by Tutu, and every type of creative in-between throughout the area. 

Enjoy Perpetual Motion Dance’s talents at the Festival Marketplace’s entrance. VIBES Thursdays feature the most live music and performances! Check out the sounds of Blake Bricker, coldbrew, Joseph Messick, Josh Roberts, Kentucky Daisy, and more inside the DTE businesses and out on the street corners.

The Mother Nature Gallery Opening August 3rd

Edmond Fine Arts Institute is pleased to present “The Mother Nature,” an awe-inspiring exhibition by acclaimed artist Katherine Sanders. The exhibition will showcase a stunning collection of artworks that explore the intricate beauty and power of the natural world. The show will open with a Gallery Opening on Thursday, August 3rd from 5pm to 8pm and run through the end of August.

“The Mother Nature” is an immersive journey of life captured by Katherine Sanders. With a keen eye for detail and a profound appreciation for color, Sanders presents a series of paintings that pay homage to the awe-inspiring wonders of Mother Nature.

Drawing inspiration from various landscapes and elements, Katherine Sanders skillfully blends realism and abstraction in her artworks. Each piece is a testament to the artist’s deep connection with the natural world and her desire to convey its splendor to the audience.

Edmond Fine Arts Institute is honored to host this exhibition, allowing art enthusiasts and supporters to immerse themselves in the beauty of “The Mother Nature.” Visitors will have the opportunity to explore Sanders’ diverse body of work and visit with the artist.

First Christian Church is hosting a free school supply and backpack giveaway to the first 1,000 students who attend at 2nd St. & Boulevard from 10 am to Noon

Project 66’s annual School Supply Giveaway and Resource Fair is sponsored by City of Edmond and First Christian Church. FREE backpack of school supplies for first 1000 guests.
Each child MUST BE PRESENT to receive. Plus, there will be complementary haircuts, hotdogs, face-painting, and MORE, along with Touch-a-Truck with the Edmond Police and Fire Departments.
