Hi everyone! Hope all of you had a terrific 4th of July with family & friends. Last week was a whirlwind of activity and one of the things I discovered was the new Heritage House brick & mortar storefront at 1st Street and Broadway in Downtown Edmond.

As a longtime fan of Kelsi Leigh Designs and an early empty nester who downsized a few years ago requiring a more subtle & clean decor, following her projects and hoping to use them in a smaller space has been really fun. Her aesthetic is really down to earth, although her design services are relegated to more discerning clientele with larger projects. The store will be offering products at all price points, so don’t write the store off as only for the highly affluent before you stop in to discover what they stock.

After seeing the storefront, and signage that boasts design services and building projects, rugs, home decor, and gifts and furniture, I visited the website online to see what else would be coming and hours, etc.  KLD will have a fully operational website to shop at this fall at Heritage-House.com, and the storefront is understanding of the new changes in Downtown Edmond that will be open later this summer – Monday through Thursday 10 am to 7 pm, and Friday’s & Saturday’s from 10 am to 8 pm!!!

You guys! I can’t tell you how much I love the Independent Shop Keepers Association a nonprofit organization for Oklahoma’s independent shopkeepers! They help find businesses that appear in Citizen’s Bank of Edmond’s shop incubator next door to the Community Bank’s lobby called RiSE. This month you can find the very cutest vintage vendor called Cult 70 Threads which has a booth on Britton in Orange Peel OKC Vintage Store. Each year in mid-July they hold a weekend encouraging shoppers to shop at locally owned businesses, and this year the event runs from Friday, July 14th to Sunday, July 16th. Visit WeekendofLocal.com to visit one of the participating businesses here in Edmond or OKC!

Stop by in two weeks and I will be sharing all things back to school and any other fun retail news. If you’d like for me to share about your local business, shoot me a dm at our FB page or Instagram page and I would be happy to share with all of our readers. Thanks for reading and check back Thursday for what’s happening around Edmond!

Have a great week,

Sherri
