Join Science Museum Oklahoma for a family night out at our first ever Late Nite Lab – Tinker ‘Bout It! Bring your whole family and build, break, create and explore the fun that is tinkering!

>> What’s tinkering?
Tinkering is a valuable form of learning powered by exploration and discovery. Have you ever repaired something that was broken? Toyed with a recipe? Taken something apart just to see what was inside? That’s tinkering!

>> What does the event include?
Hands-on tinkering activities, Kirkpatrick Planetarium and Science Live shows, and full access to the museum’s permanent exhibits!

>> What kind of tinkering activities will there be?
3D printing demos, robotics, cardboard car building, bookbinding, candle-making, woodworking, early animation, and more, plus special guest tinkerers from Bloom Crafting, and
Francis Tuttle Technology Center Engineering.

>> Wow, that sounds like a lot. Is there a schedule? Will there be food?
Yes and yes! We strongly encourage you to arrive by 7 p.m. so that you don’t miss any of the fun! There will be no admission after 9 p.m.

6 p.m.: Doors open for check-in. Grab some dinner from the cafe or check out the museum!
6-9 p.m.: Pavlov’s Cafe open
6-10:30 p.m.: Full museum is open (The Science Shop will stay open until 11 p.m.!)
7-10 p.m.: Tinkering stations open
8 p.m.: Kirkpatrick Planetarium show – arrive early, seating is limited!
10:30 p.m.: Science Live show
11 p.m.: Goodnight!

>> What does it cost?
$18 per person for museum members and $20 per person for nonmembers. Children 3 and under are free. Not a member? Check out our membership options at http://www.sciencemuseumok.org/membership.

>> What’s the age limit?
There isn’t one! All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone. One adult is required for every six children in attendance.

>> Is this a Science Overnight?
Nope! This is a family night out — a few hours away from home to tinker and explore the museum after hours.
