This week is an off week for OU football, with OSU not playing until 6:30 pm tonight, UCO Football kicking off today with the very first beer and wine sales to start today, and that along with High School Cheer regional’s happening, the Edmond PD & FD Baseball game will be rescheduled & was postponed due to rain, and the first of the Fall Festivals and Pumpkin Patch openings happens today with Wing’s getting the Fall festivities rolling – there is a lot going on today.

The Wings Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch will take place over four weekends in the fall [Sep 20 – Oct 13]. Hosted on our campus in South Edmond, over 8,000 visitors and 300 volunteers will be on our campus enjoying the ever-fun Play Patch with bounce houses, hayrides, pony rides, a petting zoo, games and much more. And of course hundreds of pumpkins will be purchased through our Pumpkin Patch.
Tonight is the 2nd to last Heard on Hurd for the season in Downtown Edmond from 6-10 pm, with all of the food trucks and shopping you’ve come to love, and three new musical acts set to perform brought to Heard on Hurd by the fine folks at Tower Theater. Also tonight, you can catch a preview of the Simply Indie Film Fest inside of Vault 405 at 10 N Broadway from 7 to 9 pm!

Setting the stage for the evening with their American Rock-N-Roll, Surfabilly, Blues will be the Vibro Kings! This Oklahoma City trio was founded in January 2015 by guitarist/singer Chris Henson, bassist Jeremy Burgin and drummer Jeff Wilder. They have a vintage inspired sound of thumping bass, power beat rhythms and tube driven guitar that is energizing and exciting to crowds! They recently released their first studio album and are continuing to play live shows.
You won’t want to miss their performance at 6:00PM!
Chanda Graham takes the stage at 7:20PM to take us back to the deep roots of gospel. She has shared the stage with Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, and Dorinda Clark-Cole to name a few.
Two years ago, Chanda made her debut as a solo jazz and blues artist and has become one of the most sought-after singers in Oklahoma. She is currently working on tracks for her debut solo album.
She is an Oklahoma born and raised, award winning singer songwriter. She tours nationally and internationally playing both solo and with her band.
Sampson won 1st place in the Chris Austin Song Contest at Merlefest and was a top 10 finalist in the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Troubadour Contest.
She has released five studio albums including her newest release LUCKY recorded with Jason Scott at ONStudios in Moore, OK. Sampson’s release Wilder Side received international attention and was No. 3 on the Euro Americana year end chart for 2016. Her newest work LUCKY will be released fall 2018. She is the founder and director of The Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls OKC, a nonprofit volunteer run organization that empowers girls through music education.
