Hi everyone! I’ve been crazy busy on the back end of the site, working on the January 2020 issue, and wrapping up personal business for 2019. I am super excited to be starting my daily Around Edmond blogs, after taking a bit to clarify what I wanted this accelerated blog to do for you all, moving into 2020.

Watching everyone’s stories at Instagram and Facebook, a lot of you took pre holiday vacations as your Christmas gifts this year, and what a seriously good idea, this particular year. With the vitriol going on nationally, a little down time is just what we all need to escape from the 24/7 bickering from our elected officials.

With the shortened holiday season, I’ve even seen some of you haven’t started shopping yet, and are just finishing up your decorating. That’s where I am currently. Half my tree is fluffed, with a hole in the tree at my desk’s eye level. So distracting. Tomorrow I am heading out to enjoy our community’s seasonal offerings then I am heading home to finish fluffing and decorate my tree!

CITY BUZZ & SHOP EDMOND NEWS

Santa Clause and Mrs. Clause were at Citizen’s Bank today and will be available for pictures Saturday from 8-2 pm! Be sure to stop by and grab your pictures and enjoy free hot chocolate and cookies! There will also be carriage rides available until 3 pm.

Santa Clause also visited 525 Realty Group recently at their new and temporary office space at 120 N Bryant Avenue!

Paper Arts, at 632 W Edmond Rd just west of Fretz, will be open Sunday’s 1-6 pm for the remainder of the year, and is available to help fill your last minute shopping lists!

Botanical Bar, next door to Emory Anne Interiors at 150th & Santa Fe, is hosting one last Christmas centerpiece class that will include instruction on bow making December 19, 2019. Be sure to register by calling the shop at 405-888-2698.

Anne headed off to Mississippi to help her sister with her nephew’s wedding, and before she left town, she posted a few of her favorite things that are in the shop at Emory Anne Interiors, at 150th & Santa Fe! Here they are, and remember, they have free gift wrap!

Edmond Wine Shop at 15th & Boulevard ends their French Wine Sale Saturday December 14, 2019, and also has some rare whiskey selections available! More here:

Big news, Pinkitzel has returned to Edmond and is now located right next door to Emory Anne Interiors, so be sure to stop in after shopping at Emory Anne’s and enjoy a sweet treat!
