The Edmond Veterans Memorial Committee (VMAC) will kick off it’s inaugural fundraising event at Bickham-Rudkin Park on Memorial Day Weekend, 28 May at 10am. The event includes presentation of the colors by Edmond North Junior ROTC Color Guard, Memorial Day Remembrance service, and a 1.2 or 2.4 mile Memorial Walk/Ruck March along the Bickham-Rudkin Park trail (starting at the Pavilion, through the Arboretum, and back to the Pavillion). Additionally, there will be tables set up to showcase VMAC’s planned memorial, fundraising materials, as well as highlighting veterans services available in the community. Scars and Stripes Coffee will provide coffee.
