Around Edmond: Welcome November! Events. City Buzz. Holiday Open Houses.
Hi everyone! What a two weeks it was. 89 degrees to 11 degrees wind chill marked the harsh change we all experienced during this year’s weather transition. I stopped by Hafer Park (my annual indicator that the season’s are really changing), and there are some golden tones showing up slowly. Next week, it should be absolutely amazing to witness, barring any crazy wind storms.
This week, I am in final production of the October November Issue, and I’m excited about the featured businesses and the people who own them, from their out of the box ideas to a coming home of sorts for one young athlete who is teaching others focus and the art of being present.
Also, I couldn’t be more excited at the over 1,000 singular nominations of local businesses we received in our ballots online since August. We will be sure to populate our City Guide with these businesses ( I thought this was the best way to do so, rather than the listings being only derived from my personal bias).
Next up will be voting polls online only, so that your favorites can be featured in the magazine throughout the year, and in the online City Guide. This process tells new residents where they should go and gives a new resident ideas of service providers they should consider, restaurants they should try, boutiques that are popular and more. Keep your eye out, as I am currently loading these polls as we speak!
