Around Edmond: The Downtown Edmond Business Association will be hosting their first Veterans Day Celebration on November 11th , 2022, 4:30pm-6pm at Festival Market on 1st and the Railroad Tracks in Downtown Edmond.

“Craig Brudzinski and myself decided to celebrate all of our Veterans with a new event in Downtown Edmond and we  wanted to make it big and something that could become a tradition for our community. We also wanted to do it right, so we involved many leaders in our military and our city to plan this event.”, DEBA Executive Director Stephanie Carel said.

Carel’s husband, David Carel served as a combat medic in the Oklahoma National Guard for 21 years so the Veterans hold a special place in their heart.

This event will include some important people and fun events, including speakers Senator Adam Pugh, Mayor Darrell Davis and Emcee Colonel (R) Mustafa “Kujo” Koprucu. Musical guests 145th Army Band and Voices of Crossings. Presentation of the colors by Edmond North JROTC Honor Guard. Invocation by 179th Command Chaplain. Live Art and Sale, Kids activity from the Edmond Public Library, Veterans card station, refreshments, history of the Veterans of Edmond Display, and information booths from the National Guard Family Program, Edmond VFW, Edmond American Legion and many more.
