Hi everyone, hoping you are all doing well. This weekend the Independent Shopkeeper’s Association is holding Weekend of Local. It’s a fabulous initiative to remind people of the importance of locally owned businesses throughout the state. Remember them this weekend while you’re out shopping.
The Shoppes at Cheyenne is home to Oops I Arted and they had the most amazing set of Summer Art Classes this week, featuring multi media painting and clay sculptures! The art studio is located at 3400 S Bryant! Keep your eye out for more classes, and announcement of after school art class schedules.
Also located in the Shoppes at Cheyenne is the darling boutique Mira Bird! Here you can find home decor, and amazing gift items, but my favorite is that this shop has little fresh flower pop ups! I am sure her flowers would cheer up anyone and any space they land in! Check it out here:
Paper Arts will be hosting a Christmas Card making class on July 23, at 6:30 pm, and you can register at the link in the Facebook post below. The class is $25 and the studio is located at 221 S Santa Fe! And when you stop by the studio/boutique, be sure to also try Big O’s BBQ in the same shopping center! You will love them!
Serendipity Market vendor’s have finished updating their booths with summer decor, refinished furniture and more! Located at 917 E Danforth Rd.
Stop by Cultured Clothes at Covell and Exchange Rd in NE Edmond to celebrate their 5th Birthday this Saturday!
And, when you stop by Millie’s Table on Danforth just west of Santa Fe, in the Homestead Center, to pick up your take & bake meals for next week, don’t forget to find Waldo, at Millies & Paper Arts and the other 23 locally owned businesses listed! This is always a fun event hosted by Best of Books located in on Danforth just west of Bryant in Kickingbird Square!
At this week’s City Council meeting, Mayor Davis proclaimed July as Parks & Rec month, appropriately! And, in August we can celebrate Edmond Farmer’s Market Week!
Lastly, be sure to mark your calendars for tax free weekend on clothing & shoes valued under $100. Gather your coupons or discount codes to bring costs down under $100 as a general tip for pricey items. Not applicable to sports gear. For more information about this event happening the 1st weekend in August that is a real help with back to school shopping, visit the State’s site here to get all the information you need!
Have an absolutely terrific weekend with family & friends, and check back next week to see what’s happening around Edmond!
