Is that summer heat getting to you? Come cool down with us at this month’s Heard on Hurd where we’ll celebrate Christmas in July! Join us for music, food, and more as we beat the heat by dreaming of a white Christmas, all presented by Citizens Bank of Edmond.

If you stop by the CBE Community Lobby, you might even spot the famous Santa Claus! All decked out for his summer vacation, Santa will be happy to take a pic with kids (or kids at heart!) from 6:00-8:00 p.m. You’ll also be able to meet special guests Mrs. Claus, Elsa, Olaf and UCO mascot Buddy Broncho.

We are happy to feature non-profit First Americans Museum this month. FAM serves to educate about the unique cultures, diversity, history, contributions, and resilience of the First American Nations in Oklahoma today. Stop by FAM’s booth at Heard on Hurd to learn more and then check out the exhibitions and events at the museum in Oklahoma City!

  • When: July 16, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Where: Downtown Edmond, S Broadway between First and Hurd St & Hurd St between Broadway and Littler Ave

This month’s music line-up has a little something for everyone: the energetic New Orleans-inspired King Cabbage Brass Band will have you jumping out of your seat starting at 8:40 p.m. Singer/songwriter Chloe-Beth will take the stage at 7:20 p.m., dazzling with her unique indie country vibes. And award-winning, family-friendly duo Spaghetti Eddie kicks off the evening at 6 p.m.

Our unique vendors are truly what make Heard on Hurd special! Grab a bite from food trucks like Taste of AfricaSplit Top Dogs and many more and browse retail vendors with a variety of goods and services. You’ll find everything from handmade jewelry made by Lucky Lulu to plants and plant-related goods from Selva Plant Studio or skate board lesson demonstrations by The Daily Shredd.

We’ve got a few months left until the end of our season and you won’t want to miss a single moment! Mark your calendar for Heard on Hurd on the third Saturday of each month through October. Let’s come together in downtown to celebrate our community with this unique family-friendly block party.
