2020 EdmondActive Magazine, Web and Social Media Kit

Introduction

EdmondActive.com was started in July 2009, also launching at Facebook and Twitter as a information source and entertainment source of all things community, to which there were no other media participants in this arena.

October 2009, EdmondActive Magazine published its first edition as the only publication in the area to focus on other forms of connection in the community, besides print media.

EdmondActive Magazine currently prints and distributes locally 6-10 magazines per year.

@Edmondactive’s reach is highest at Facebook.com/Edmondactive, with a record reach of over 100,000 unique people in Edmond, OKC, the Village, Nichols Hills and more communities following and utilizing services from Edmond retailers and service providers between November 17, 2019 and December 15, 2019, and reaching a unique user count at Instagram of over 50,000 during this time period.

Edmondactive.com sees over 1.5 million impressions per year since 2009, sometimes higher depending on content, per Google Analytics.

Our print pick up is 97% as of December 2019, for the 11th year in a row.

EdmondActive in all forms concentrates its content on local events, people and businesses.

Demographics of Area and Readership

The 2019 EEDA Perspective states there are 34,000 plus residences in Edmond, in 7 zip codes including single family homes, duplexes/townhomes, apartments and mobile homes, with over 92,000 people residing in the city limits.

Edmond’s average median income is $77,000 per the 2010 Census.

EdmondActive Demographics are 72% Female and 28% Male.

EdmondActive Age Demographics are 25-54.

EdmondActive concentrates its content on what is useful, relatable regardless of financial or social status, focusing on what brings our community together as a whole.

We feel that it is better for us to understand our audience to better serve our clients than it is to market our own brand, and in doing so, this mindset creates a solid branding of EdmondActive that our clients use as a trusted and relatable base for their advertising.

There are still companies who don’t like to be connected on social networks, and don’t have websites, other than placeholders. We focus our social and web efforts on branding the companies physical location and hours and highlighting their products and services within our social network of almost 34,000 local residents.
