Hi everyone! In case you hadn’t seen word of Heard on Hurd starting it’s 8th Season tonight in Downtown Edmond from 6-10 pm, here is your head’s up.

Heard on Hurd is finally back just in time to bring the family down to celebrate the start of Summer and Father’s Day! There will be over 40 vendor’s from retail to food trucks, and the new restaurants in Downtown Edmond will also all be open including Edmond’s only brewery and taphouse, Frenzy Brewing, who is celebrating their first year in business.

Tonight’s event will feature the Simply Indie Filmfest inside of Vault 405 which has 5 movies to see, 3 bands onstage – Bedtime Band at 6 pm, Jacobi Ryan at 7:20pm and the Imaginaries at 8:40 pm. I remember the very first event in September 2013, and it was amazing to see how many people showed up.

Attendance will be spectacular, so get there early, my guess is it will be the largest Heard on Hurd in 8 years.

If you are new to the event, it is family and dog friendly. There are plenty of places to sit, but if you’d like to sit at the bandstand for this event, I’d bring my own chairs, after the long hiatus!

There will be open brick and mortar retailers and restaurants too, should you want to dip in and escape the heat, up and down Broadway, including at the Edmond Railyard. Have fun tonight, I’ll post photos and video tomorrow from tonight’s event, or you can follow Heard on Hurd at Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, or our feed @EdmondActive at Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, as well!
