FIRST #UNBANK OPENING IN MIDTOWN
Midtown Bank by Citizens Bank of Edmond to Celebrate Grand Opening Ceremony on June 27

Oklahoma City, Okla. (June 15, 2018) – Midtown Bank, an electronic banking facility powered by Citizens Bank of Edmond, will host their grand opening on June 27.

Inspired by local merchants such as Elemental Coffee and Tower Theater, Citizens Bank of Edmond developed Midtown Bank to serve as an unmanned electronic banking facility, #unbank, featuring technology and a wider array of services than any other unmanned electronic banking facility in the nation with unparalleled access for customers. The unique space remains secured 24 hours a day 7 days a week, allowing electronic access to enrolled customers to conduct transactions at any time of the day or night.

“We are honored to launch our first #unbank in the Midtown community” said Jill Castilla, president and CEO of Citizens Bank of Edmond. “Our goal was to find a way for customers such as bars, restaurants, food trucks and other venues with non-standard operating hours to be able to conduct bank transactions on their time. We intentionally developed and deployed technology to suit the financial needs of the local merchants in the area. Today, so many banking transactions can be conducted electronically but our focus was on those customers that still need direct access to cash outside of banking hours. Midtown Bank will allow Citizens Bank of Edmond to serve the Midtown district in the same manner as a traditional staffed location but provides a unique spin on the space and technology.”

Midtown Bank contains technology and equipment customized by Citizens Bank of Edmond to allow customers to make deposits, cash checks, purchase rolled coin, conduct currency exchanges, deposit rolled coin in addition to other standard bank transactions. The #unbank also includes an Interactive Teller Machine that allows direct communication to bank personnel to assist with transactions, answer general inquiries or begin the process for account opening. The facility is also equipped with Wi-Fi and working space.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will kick off at 1:30 P.M. at Midtown Bank, located at 1006 N. Hudson in the Midtown district. Representatives from The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the ribbon cutting during the event. Guided tours and refreshments will be provided.
