The first thing I found at Instagram today was a local network called EssentialsBoxOK had started following Edmondactive. Interested in what this account was all about, I went to their feed, and only saw a few photos, but their profile said to find them at Facebook. So, of course I did just that. In reading their about section at Facebook, I thought I would share their Facebook page at @localshelpinglokals or you can find them by searching Essentials Box OK. They are a not for profit, are set up at First Christian Church in Downtown Edmond on 2nd & Boulevard, on select days M-F from 6 am to 7:15 am during Breakfast on Boulevard and they state they will update the community as to when they’ll be handing out basic needs items at the Church. They have received a donation which was applied to these items from Amazon today! If you have any desire to find out more about this program, find them and contact this start up, it’s very much in demand locally!

I was stunned to see Amie Henrickson from Edmond Wine Shop announce last week that the Edmond Wine Shop Fall Sale yielded over 10,000 bottles of wine purchased and the most sold during a wine sale in the shop’s history! Way to go Edmond, this is amazing as some of the wine purchased will go to hep victims of the Northern California.

Edmond Wine Shop is located at 1520 S Boulevard Open M-Sat. 10-9 pm
